JOB PURPOSE

Lead the business development activities for the Cambridge Early Years Programme within South India. Ensuring the effective delivery on targets for adoption, resource purchases and revenue target.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Delivering; processing; planning; monitoring; reporting; communicating; managing resources; etc. 

Based on annual timeframe, following details indicate the percentage of time spent on each accountability.  The total time spent is equal to 100%.

 

  • Regional Targets - 50%

To have responsibility for the achievement of targets for adoption, resource purchases and revenue target.

 

  • Regional Strategy Development - 10%

Responsible for developing and implementing go to market strategy in the region, in close collaboration with Sales Head ­– Early Years Programme, India

 

  • Strategy Implementation - 20% 

Leading the implementation of the India side elements of the Go To market strategy for Early Years In India.

Operating within a matrix structure, working closely with colleagues in Cambridge International and Cambridge University Press.  This role is accountable for all sales and marketing activities, customer support and training for Early Years India

 

  • Customer Relationship Management - 20%

Responsible for developing, nurturing and maintaining excellent relationships with Cambridge Early Years Schools

 

Qualification:

  • Educated to Graduate Degree Level,
  • Desirable: MBA
  • Excellent communication skills both English and relevant regional language.
  • Excellent negotiations skills
  • Proven sales ability
  • Ability to use and interpret data as a basis for sound decision making

 

Experience required in:

  • Effective working with Educators
  • Operating in a reporting matrix
  • Contract negotiations
  • Building relationships
  • B2B sales management

 

Minimum experience:  8-12 years
