We are recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst who will be part in the Portfolio Office (Technology – Shared Services). This team is responsible for delivering technical services and support project professionals and project teams, specifically in the use of systems and templates for managing the delivery of project and programmes.

This role supports colleagues in Manila and in the UK, to answer queries they may have about a range of systems, including SharePoint and PowerBI, PowerApps, Teams, Project Online, Planview. Therefore, the ability to learn fast and be curious about systems as well as project processes is key, as well as a sense of customer service. Through the role, you will be involved not only with data analysis, but also with basic project reviews, which will provide you with great exposure and development opportunities.

What will you do in this role?

Working closely with project managers, your team members within the Portfolio Office, and technical teams, you will:

  • Ensure the uptime, quality, performance and stability of the systems and templates provided
  • Provide second-level support around the configuration and operation of PPM tools including MS Project Online, MS Project desktop client and Planview. Deliver recommendations for best practice around the use of advanced Microsoft Office365 capabilities, from traditional capabilities such as VBA in Excel to the modern use of Power Apps, SharePoint, PowerAutomate and Teams. You may also recommend the best uses of Jira and Confluence for project managers.
  • Deliver a customer-first approached service that provides functional support around the use of the systems and templates.
  • Monitor the use of specific systems, by project, and reports on this.
  • Continuously learn about the systems and potential systems that the portfolio office could use, including keeping up-to-date with the roadmaps of the latest features of PPM tools

What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?

You will make the best applicant for this role if you have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office365 tools and services, preferably with certification, including SharePoint configuration. You will have had experience of support services, and ideally working with customers across different time zones and countries. Experience working with data bases or ERP systems is recommended.

In addition, the following will give you an advantage:

  • Experience working with project managers, or awareness of project management methodologies and technical language
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence
