This role will be responsible for furthering Cambridge engagement and business in Sri Lanka. Managing business relationships with our existing business partners and engaging with government bodies, high commissions, educational bodies along with end customers. Driving aggressive strategies and ensuring that we can increase our market share in the country. 


  • Policy Advocacy & Influence – Impact Education outcomes in the country working with Government, national organizations
  • Revenue Growth - Winning business for all the verticals and business lines across the organization
  • Managing engagements- Building a strong school and HEI network




  • Designing entire Route-To-Market strategy, analysing competitors' actions and implementing effective competition combat strategies for the country(SriLanka)
  • Responsible to generate and manage the revenue target for the country
  • Drive YOY Revenue growth in the country
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlight trends and analyse causes of variances for better business planning
  • Establish meaningful business relationships on behalf of the organization. Leverage and broaden the business reach and impact in the country
    • Pivotal in maintaining high level connect with local High Commission offices
    • Establish a Robust network of Business partners & clients across locations
  • Enabling excellence across all operational areas by demand planning, effective product mix and promotional activities
  • Provide visible, strong leadership in the country focused on annual target achievement.
  • Be a positive role model for the leadership characteristics as outlined in the Leadership Model.




  • Work experience of approx. 15 years in a similar role, preferably in the Education or related Industry.
  • Sales Strategy and management exposure at a mid- management level
  • Adequate experience of working in the Sri Lanka Market, exposure to working with Government segment and preferably in the Education segment.
  • Proven track record of delivering success in managing business for revenue, advocacy, and impact
  • Strong Business Management skills
  • Ability to work with and interpret Data,
  • Strong Business Development and Execution Skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage both individual and team engagements
  • MBA in sales/marketing from a good institute – preferred but not mandatory





  • Excellent management & interpersonal skills to lead, work across team/sand to influence stakeholders across the end to end value chain
  • Commercial skills to ensure that propositions profitably meet expectations
  • Analytical & data driven to ensure that decisions are evidence based and key portfolio performance metrics are tracked
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to convey strategy, knowledge and requirements and to persuade stakeholders and to provide clear and comprehensive direction and guidance to diverse/multi-disciplinary team members to ensure that deliveries are aligned to expectations and timelines
  • Good problem-solving skills to overcome problems and resolve conflict quickly, including when under pressure
  • Emotional Intelligence & empathy to be able to read and resolve situations and resolve conflict
  • Organised and able to work to deadlines and roadmaps
