1. Job Purpose


The Inside Sales Executive is responsible for developing new leads, communicating with clients, understand their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process. S/he will use telephone, email and online channels to identify and develop new business prospects and follow up on inbound leads. S/he is a dynamic personality, highly motivated and a self-starter who is able to build rapport and achieve customer satisfaction. Must have excellent presentation and communication skill.

3. Principle Accountabilities


  • Communicate with both B2C and B2B via telephone and mass communication such as emails and social media to introduce Cambridge solutions and identify appropriate clients within the target market
  • Understand client's needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answer potential client's questions, provide additional information where needed and follow up on leads
  • Have adequate knowledge of product and services, and be updated with new ones
  • Explain and demonstrate features of Company's solution offerings
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential clients
  • Upselling products, services and solutions
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Communicate sales leads to Regional Sales Manager / Marketing Manager and arrange for a meeting/s with the client.
  • Prepare and analyse sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
  • Drive sales closure

5. Knowledge and Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years telemarketing / online channel sales, concept selling and/or inside sales experience is a plus
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Excellent client service and relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation skills is a must!!! (both in person and online)
  • Affluent in English language
  • Proven track record of achievements / over achievements / accolades from organizations


6. Job Challenge


Fierce competition with competitors; MNCs who've been operating for longer than Cambridge in the region as well as local strong players with credible presence in the space of education.


Generating leads for solution selling across geographies.


Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment have recently integrated as a unified organization.  We are realigning our operating model and transition from product to solution selling.  This could pose a few challenges in convincing the existing customers / clients and generating new leads.
