Job Purpose

To ensure all payroll within the international payroll team are compliant according to both statutory law and labor law in each country and all payment are made according to country regulations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Take full responsibility for payroll data ensuring the data meets all internal audit requirements and GDPR and is compliant with local legislation in all countries.
  • Build and maintain all GDPR compliant avenues that data is provided to payroll such as workday, external SharePoint sites, shared drives and MS teams.
  • Complete global payrolls timely and accurately using latest legislation and laws in that country.
  • Investigate & analyse risk of noncompliance and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Complete payroll reconciliations for all global payroll after each run and ensure accuracy of data, investigate any issues and make amendments.
  • Complete financial reporting for all global payrolls monthly including that journals balance before being uploaded into SAP.
  • Complete statutory reporting requirements by each deadline to each authority for all countries, states and or localities and maintain any government accounts required to complete the reporting.
  • Ensure all employee payroll accounts balance for year end, produce year end documents and deal with queries.
  • Ensure that all administration of benefits in each country are processed through payroll according to labour laws and make any payments to 3rd parties for these benefits.
  • Ensure that all expenses that have to be processed through payroll for tax purposes are compliant with labour and tax laws. Ensure these are reported accurately through finance.
  • Maintain knowledge of all labour and tax laws for all items relating to payroll, benefits & expenses in each country, ensuring that changes are communicated to those effected internally and externally and ensuring that recommendations are made for the Press to remain compliant.
  • Deal with queries for all payrolls from employees, 3rd party partners and internal teams. This may include manual calculations.
  • Build & maintain relationships with all payroll partners and internals stakeholders
  • Help build and maintain the team intranet site
  • Assist with the profile and promotion of the payroll department

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience working with high volume of data,
  • Intermediate excel skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Strong payroll knowledge, including employment law.
  • Global Payroll experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to analyse data, identify risk and make recommendations for improvements.
