Job Purpose

It is the Security Analyst's responsibility to ensure that all problems or services not functioning are reported in-time to Security Engineers to work with the team for troubleshooting and resolution. It is the Security Analyst's duty to react proactively by identifying issues or problems within the systems. This way, systems or solutions will be functioning and operating as efficiently as possible. It is also his/her duty to perform initial analysis for any breaches, incidents, threat and possible attack detected within the Press.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Global Primary support for AWS Security, Mail Security Gateways and Central Log, and Alerts monitoring
  • Secondary support for vulnerability testing, Cloud WAF, risk analyses, and security assessments to detect and prevent cyber threats
  • Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood
  • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
  • Submit Evidences or Artefacts related to any Security Incidents or Audit Regulatory Activities
  • Document and maintain operation procedures and processes
  • Open tickets and coordinate security issues, help third-party vendors if needed
  • Event and Threat Research
  • Maintains knowledge and expertise in security-related technologies, trends, cyber security threats, issues, and solutions
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art information technology, equipment, and systems
  • Security Incident Response i.e. threat analysis, root cause identification, attack simulation, threat hunting
  • Pass security Blue Team certification

Knowledge and Experience

  • Must be a College graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any IT-related courses
  • 2-4+ years of application experience in any IT Systems Administration or Security roles
  • Experience with Project Planning and Deliveries
  • Must have Microsoft Certification in any of the following: MCP, MCSA, MCSE
  • Advance Threat analytic skills about Trojan, Worm, Virus and Ransomware behaviors
  • Advance skills and understanding of Security technologies:
    • AWS Fundamentals
    • Encryption (file and whole disk) i.e Bitlocker
    • Web Gateway/Web Security
    • Central Log Collectors (SIEM)
    • Antivirus
    • Vulnerability Management
    • Cloud Security 
    • Unified Threat Management i.e. Fortinet, Cyberoam, IPS/IDS
  • Beginner to advance knowledge about Web Application exploits i.e monero, bitcoin mining, and the like
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Advanced to intermediate server hardware and software and an understanding of the best practices for securing them
