Marketing Executive, Cambridge Online Education
About the role:
Cambridge University Press is recruiting for a Cambridge Online Education Marketing Executive within the Academic division, working closely with the University of Cambridge Online and Cambridge Advance Online unit.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a newly-formed start-up unit, focused on developing and promoting a suite of online learning services for the Higher Education community and corporate partners. This varied position plays an important role in all phases of Cambridge's online learning services offering, from lead generation and market research to course enrolment, retention, and campaign reporting.
This role will report to the Cambridge Online Education Marketing Manager, Sian Welch and work closely with the Managing Director of University of Cambridge Online, the Director of Design and Online Learning, course developers, and various specialised marketing teams including external marketing agencies. It is essential that the Cambridge Online Education Marketing Executive has excellent interpersonal skills and can clearly communicate marketing strategies with both internal and external stakeholders in a range of settings. The role holder must be adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks in the short term whilst having a clear vision for longer-term marketing strategy.
What you'll be doing:
Regular tasks and responsibilities include preparing print and digital materials, email marketing and automation, social media, ppc advertising, search engine optimization, video and more. The role has a measurable impact on the business and therefore the role will be responsible for regular reporting, optimization, and benchmarking of campaigns.
To be a successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous marketing experience, in a higher education institution or learning environment. You will need to have a high standard of written English plus copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills. The role would suit someone who is collaborative, and creative, with a flair for innovation. Experience of planning, budgeting, implementing, and reporting on marketing campaigns would be advantageous. Knowledge of Salesforce or similar systems, and the marketing application of GDPR-policies, would also be valuable. Occasional travel may be required for the role.
