About the role

We are looking for an innovative, collaborative and decisive Platform Manager to take the overall accountability for a digital platform to cover the platform life cycle across Delivery, Support, QA and Architecture. Working with other parts of Technology team, the wider business and our customers to define and deliver a ‘fit for purpose' digital platform and associated technologies that deliver the very best service to Cambridge University Press and our Customers. 

The role requires an experienced digital leader with a strong technical background that will work in a heavy matrix environment across Project Delivery, QA and Support, taking accountability for the overall performance of the Platform and associated technologies in line with the Technical Strategy for that platform.

About you

You have a strong and proven technical background alongside strong customer experience and B2C background. You also have support experience for both delivery of new Platforms, enhancing existing platforms as well as responsibility for the performance and aid of new and existing platforms managing a large user base.  You will have exposure to Technical Strategy and its implementation related directly to Business Strategy and the delivery of a vision.

Requirements

  • You have a strong technical background with a deep knowledge of B2C technologies and have been involved in 3rd party contract negotiations. You have at least 3 years of technical management experience.
  • You will have experience of ITIL best practice and agile delivery as a must, and experience of waterfall delivery and Testing best practice are an advantage.
  • You will be a natural collaborator with strong communication and stakeholder management skills for working in a matrix, global organisation. 
  • You have one or more experiences of working on customer critical solutions, delivering a very high level of service and exceeding expectations
