We are recruiting for a passionate Scrum Master who will be part of our English Technology Team in Manila.  The role will play a key role in spearheading Scrum concepts and processes for the team and ensuring that key departments understand the values and principles of Scrums. The Manila hub of the Organization is in Makati City, operating to support the university's global operations.

What will you do in this role?

You will be in implementing Scrum concepts and practices within the team, particularly focusing on the planning and execution of iterative sprints; developing Agile maturity within the team and helping business stakeholders understand the value and principles of Scrums.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Overall ownership and accountability of project team tasks required for delivery of agile projects for different technology groups.
  • Assist stakeholders from different technology and product groups in writing and delivering effective stories that add value to the platforms
  • Create and submit sprint reports that accurately articulate the progress of the project, plans for the next sprint, and high priority concerns

What are the qualifications?

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master and 5 years overall in the IT field, focusing on software development and delivery. Our ideal candidate is someone who communicates well in both English and the vernacular and enjoys working in a collaborative setup with different groups, as well as a good understanding of project management principles.

In addition, experience, knowledge or expertise in the following are an advantage:

  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, Confluence, JIRA (or similar tools).
  • Preferably with a certification in (CSM, PSM or other), or PMP© (or PRINCE2©)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
