About the role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced person to join our marketing department. Working within a small team who manage our website, this role provides an opportunity for you to make your mark within a broad range of digital marketing responsibilities with plenty of scope for you to run your own projects.


We bring a unique approach to teaching, learning and accessing English, all driven by world-class research, and our Marketing Strategy which is focussed on content marketing, data insights and user experience, is an integral part of our overall business plan for the next few years. 2021 promises to bring exciting opportunities for the department as we strengthen our capabilities in these areas and look for enthusiastic highly skilled marketers to join our team.


You will be the 'go-to', operational person for the English Language Learning (ELL) marketing website; main point of contact for mini-site creation; Drupal page-build expert, and subject matter expert for automated journey creation using the SalesForce Marketing Cloud application.


Working on a daily basis with Technology and business colleagues from around the world, you will manage the needs of the website and assist with the implementation of the ELT web strategy which will require you to guide workshops, as well as help define new features and workflows. You will use your analytical experience to monitor, measure and report on progress across a broad spectrum of KPIs and help to devise appropriate enhancements on our platforms. You will anticipate and respond to emerging needs and provide key training and issue support across the platforms.

You will also work closely with the Senior Marketing Services and Sales teams on strategic data and web-related projects, providing subject matter and detailed operational expertise.


About you:

You will need to have solid proficiency in digital marketing, able to understand and anticipate customers' needs and be skilled at email marketing; web marketing; building web pages; customer journey mapping and testing. Previous experience of managing a website lifecycle, building Drupal webpages and utilising a full spectrum of digital marketing tactics will be essential to your success in the role.


A good level of AMPscript and HTML experience which includes the ability to spot and fix errors is important, and a working understanding of Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder, and Dotmailer / Mailchimp is also needed.


A customer-centric approach will be core to all that you do, and you will be empowered to solve problems and work on your own initiative, using the full range of your digital marketing knowledge and skills.
