Job Purpose?

Senior Software Engineer's main role is to design, develop, and secure the software application from formation to completion. Often deal with the infrastructure design and programming, research and development, and explains programming duties to other members of the technical staff working on the application. This includes managing and directing technical staff to complete the application correctly, and assisting with problems or technical issues that may arise. Often have to mentor, explain business processes to other programmers and technology restraints to non - technical business owners?

Principal Duties?

  • Provide architectural direction for applications in development with respect to approved reference architecture
  • Manage the quality of code by adhering to Coding Standards.
  • Coordinate with the business users and Product Owners, Team Leads, ScrumMaster, Solutions Architects, QA and SRE to ensure that tasks or projects is delivered on time, on budget, on standards and met the demand.
  • Implements the signed off Specification Documents and discuss with the team and business users
  • Manage product quality in its integrated level of the development and manage group delivery of the project and directing the team productively
  • Develop software solutions by studying the needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; solve problem areas; following the software development life cycle
  • Manage research and development for new ways of improving the process by assessing new tools and software
  • Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance
  • Provide proposal concerning issues of programmers' productivity and software development management

Knowledge and Experience?

  • 4 years + PHP laravel in a web environment, Xquery,xslt
  • 4 + Javascript Frameworks in a full stack environment. Vue.js, Nuxt, Node.JS, Express.JS 
  • 2 Years + Frontend web development with HTML/CSS/JS
  • 1 Year+ server side Javascript based development            
  • Tools including: GIT, Grunt, Bower, NPM, Unit testing

Common:?

  • At least 4 training on related technical field
  • At least 2 training on personal development
  • 2 years AWS essentials, Unix experience
  • 2 years + experience working as a team lead managing at least 3 developers
  • 1 year xml, xslt
  • Good understanding  Docker, Kubernetes , Git/ Continous Integration-D deployment pipe line
  • Good understanding unit testing frameworks  strategies and implementation
  • Strong NoSQL experience, ideally with MongoDB, mysql
  • Experience in solution design, data modelling, analysis and documentation skills
