Senior Solutions Engineer – Ecommerce

If you can tick the above questions, we have a great opportunity at Cambridge University Press & Assessment for a Solutions Engineer within the Ecommerce Platform team.

About the Role

In this role you will:

  • be responsible for analysis of business and technical requirements
  • have ownership of the solutions architecture and roadmap
  • design great technical solutions to complex business and problems
  • plan and deliver continuous improvement within the platform
  • take the technical lead role in delivery of new capabilities and integrations
  • will work closely with cross functional teams and enterprise architecture

About you

You will bring:

  • considerable experience in JavaScript development including REACT, Angular, VueJS or NodeJS and CSS frameworks
  • experience developing with Java, managing and maintaining Web Services and APIs.
  • extensive software engineering experience on web-based applications
  • experience in leading engineers by designing and describing solution architectures
  • experience in Agile development methods
  • familiarity with tooling and processes for successful development teams, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
  • confidence and conversant around micros service architecture and coding best practices
  • passion for research and exploring new technologies and specifications.


You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be motivated, highly collaborative and a pragmatic problem solver.
