We are recruiting for a passionate User Experience (UX) Designer who will be part of our Customer Solutions Team in Manila.  The role will be responsible for overseeing all user experience and design aspects across the team remit as well as presenting to stakeholders and working with UX and development teams to create a cohesive customer experience throughout our products and services.

The role holder will conduct research, be informed and informative around qualitative and quantitative user experience. They will develop a deep understanding of Press customer and consumer insight. They will deliver findings, translating those into designs and user journeys that deliver the highest level of user satisfaction, engagement and conversion. They will engage with projects, partnering with internal UX and UI teams, global colleagues, internal and external subject matter experts, and industry media.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure the user needs and business requirements are at the centre of all projects through engagement with stakeholders, compiling UX requirements
  • Understand and represent the user needs by setting up and performing research and analysis into user behaviour via analytics and user testing
  • Champion awareness of a user-centred design approach, championing standards for best practice and adoption in collaboration with other UX teams
  • Evaluate and recommend the latest and most suitable UX tools and ensure our processes follow the best UX standards and practices

What are the qualifications?

The ideal candidate should have solid software development experience with an aptitude for testing, leadership skills, and community building by participating in COPs/guilds and external software test/developer communities.

In addition, experience, knowledge or expertise in the following are an advantage:

  • You will typically have a Bachelor's Degree or similar qualification in user experience design or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • You will have 3 or more years' experience in conducting user experience research using a variety of research methods with ideally experience in the ecommerce or digital learning sector
  • You will have a deep understanding of UX and UI, being able to call on this experience to advise, define, plan and improve the user experience whilst also coaching and supporting those working alongside you in product and platform delivery
  • You will need significant commercial experience, ideally including experience working within an Agile environment and with geographically dispersed teams and customers
