Job Purpose

  • The digital team at Cambridge University Press, India are responsible for leading the strategy related to development and operation of digital products, used by teachers and students.
  • As a member of this team, you will be responsible for managing projects related to development of digital products and platforms. Your expertise and experience will be instrumental in outlining clear requirements, manage priorities and dependencies, and deliver high-quality, well-designed technical solutions that add measurable value to the customer experience.
  • You will work closely with product managers, publishing team members  and other stakeholders, building trusted working relationships and continuing to enhance the digital product portfolio.
  • An important part of your role would be of managing technology partners / vendors.

 

Principal Accountabilities

Product Management

  1. Working with the stakeholders to define the scope of the digital product and roadmap
  2. Monitor product quality and development as per specifications throughout the development cycle
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, technical/functional issues and queries
  4. Change and execute priority sequence to maintain effective and optimal flow of work
  5. Testing of the digital product before its final release to ensure a flawless product.

Project Management

  1. Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for internal / external stakeholders required for specific projects
  2. Identify, brief and manage various task executive (editors, suppliers, interns etc.) to ensure that all projects are produced to agreed specifications within agreed budgets
  3. Facilitate and supervise complete life cycle of digital product stages between external and internal stakeholders maintaining clear communication lines between all parties
  4. Ensure that technology partners / vendors relationships are managed well. Project deliveries on time adhering to their contracted terms and as per pre-defined scoping
  5. Keep track of services' market rates and be aware of various specialised services on offer by different vendors including cost effective alternatives
  6. Keep track of competition products offering and build roadmap to enhance CUPIPL digital product
  7. Coordinate with stakeholders and suggest effective inputs to the budgeting process after thorough research while ensuring that all activities are carried out as per agreed cost structure

 

Customer Connect

  1. Manage and support sales and customers for digital product support and queries
  2. Researching and collecting customer feedback on digital product to build product roadmap
  3. Escalate unresolved queries promptly to resolve customer issues

 

Compliance and accounting processes

  1. Conduct due diligence exercise and ensure appropriate levels of code of ethics by the external service providers
  2. Maintenance of all technology partners / suppliers related documents including account and payment related details and proofs
  3. Liaise with Finance department for smooth compliance and payment processing

 

IP Management

  1. Oversee and administer appropriate levels of IP management which includes digital platform, assets rights and permissions, technology partners / vendors contracts and agreements

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology, software, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years' experience required and EdTech experience will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.  Expertise in preparing business proposals and documents.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
  • Demonstrable efficiency in managing eLearning technologies, Mobile eLearning application development, LMS development, Digital assets development and hands-on experience on rapid eLearning authoring tools.
  • Demonstrable ability to maintain clear lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders
