Commercial Finance Analyst

£38,000 - £43,000

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our finance team within our newly formed Cambridge Partnership for Education (CPE) division. You will be responsible for monthly performance and management reporting for the CPE business, using a proactive and consultative approach to ensure our senior management teams have the financial insight they require for effective decision-making and guidance across the business. You will also support tendering activity for projects as part of a cross functional team.

You will be passionate and innovative; taking a proactive interest in developing new management information and working collaboratively across several business functions. Working closely with the CPE team and finance colleagues, you will act as the trusted advisor to the Commercial Finance Manager and Senior Management team for CPE.

CPE brings together services and capabilities from Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment to create a joint business whose focus is to support ministries and partners around the world in their Education Reform programmes and activities.

About you:

You will have a strong relationship with our six behavioural values; collaborative, decisive, empowering, innovative, responsible and responsive.  You will be passionate to develop new ideas and feel comfortable with communicating across several teams and functions.

You will have experience and knowledge in accurate and timely financial management reporting and be able to demonstrate examples of problem-solving, innovative thinking and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

You will be curious and willing to learn, with an eye for details and a strong customer focus. You will be able to work under limited supervision but also as a member of a team, sharing information and supporting the Commercial Financial Manager.

You will be qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) and possess strong Excel skills. SAP experience would be desirable.
