We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join the UK Education/OCR Compliance Team. This is a varied and interesting role supporting the Special Requirements Manager to maintain and build public, customer and regulatory confidence in OCR's assessments and processes by processing and making or recommending decisions on requests for special consideration, access arrangements, reasonable adjustments, and modified papers so that disabled and disadvantaged learners can access our assessments and achieve the results they deserve.

What will you do as a Compliance Officer?

As a Compliance Officer you will:

  • Modify question papers in line with UKAAF standards for candidates with a visual impairment
  • Process access arrangement applications and associated administration
  • Process special consideration applications and associated administration
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers and internal colleagues on all aspects of the special requirements team's work
  • Support the special requirements manager to report on, generate insight from, review and improve the Compliance Team's processes and OCR's customer experience​
  • Train, coordinate and supervise compliance administrators and new or temporary administrative staff working on special requirements processes.
  • Support on other compliance team processes as required.

You are an excellent communicator, highly organised, can juggle multiple tasks and enjoy working both independently and in a team. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to make sound decisions independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for dealing with staff and customers at all levels, providing advice and guidance.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and proficiency with Microsoft programs, along with resilience to handle sensitive and upsetting cases.
