About the role:

This is a strategically key and exciting role for Cambridge University Press's English Language Teaching (ELT) sales department. Located in Istanbul, you will manage and develop a highly experienced and successful team covering Turkey and North Cyprus in what is a dynamic, challenging, but highly rewarding market of which Cambridge enjoys a healthy share. Overseeing the regional operational, sales & marketing performance, this role involves close collaboration and integration with Cambridge Assessment, with whom we share our Istanbul headquarters.

You will be the regional face of Cambridge and will be hands-on with our key institutional accounts, supporting their academic development strategies with Cambridge's renowned digital and printed products and services. A further key dimension of this will be the development of Cambridge's single strategy across ELT/Education and Assessment. Overseeing our network of key distributors will also be a key aspect of this role.

About you:

You will be an outstanding, appropriately qualified individual with excellent ELT teaching experience in an international setting. You will be an English speaker with extensive knowledge and experience of the Turkish educational context and desirable, though not essential, will be the ability to converse in Turkish. Alongside this, sound commercial decision-making will be familiar to you.

A strong, professional but supportive leadership style will be a core strength for you alongside an ability to develop and mentor your team. This will mean you hold yourself and others to account for high standards of ethical behaviour and collaborative work practises. You will possess a growth-mentality and be capable of assessing and guiding regional sales activities to optimise performance. You will be capable of contributing to Cambridge's wider strategic sales initiatives through a variety of senior management forums.

The role reports to the ELT Sales Director, EMENA.
