Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 3PM to 11PM Manila time, overlaps with UK operating hours

Employment type: Permanent

Pay range: Php 33,000 to Php 44,000

We are looking for a dedicated Data Analyst to join our Academic Business Analysis team, supporting data capture, reporting, and analytics for the Academic business. The role is responsible for producing, maintaining, and enhancing a suite of regular reports using front-facing analytical and business intelligence tools, including Excel, Python-based data processing, and Power BI, alongside occasional written analysis.

What will you do as a Data Analyst? 

Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, Team Leader, your accountabilities will include:

  • Own the delivery, maintenance, and distribution of scheduled reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and reliability for business users.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights and support stakeholder decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into reporting solutions, and deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues while driving continuous improvements through automation, optimization, and modernization of reporting processes.
  • Maintain strong data governance and documentation standards while collaborating with team members to share knowledge, improve capabilities, and support business priorities.

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in delivering regular reporting and descriptive analytics with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and consistency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate findings clearly.
  • Knowledge of data quality principles, validation techniques, and data governance best practices.
  • Working knowledge on the following tools for data extraction, transformation, or visualization: SQL, Python, and PowerBI.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with academic journal publishing business.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience managing workload and priorities using tools such as Jira or similar workflow systems.
