Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Pay range: We value transparency and want to ensure a good fit for both parties. We encourage applicants who are comfortable within the salary range of Php 62,000 to 84,000 to apply.

We are recruiting a mid-level Data Engineer to join our Data & Integration team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-quality data pipelines that power analytics and operational systems across the organization.

What will you do as a Data Engineer? 

As a mid-level Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and high-quality data pipelines that power analytics and operational systems across the organization. This role ensures that data is accurate, secure, and accessible, working across cloud platforms, databases, and ETL/ELT processes. The Data Engineer collaborates with analytics, integration, and development teams, applies best practices in data management and performance optimization, and contributes to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential

• University degree in Computer Science, Numeric or Technical subject, or other degrees combined with significant technical experience.
• At least 2 years' hands on experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality, analytics and reporting (visualization), SQL or noSQL databases, and programming languages (i.e. Python, Java, Scala, Javascript or Node.js, etc).
• At least 2 years' experience working in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experienced in designing data solutions and producing the accompanying documentation, such as architecture diagrams, data flow designs, data models, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technical solutions within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Desirable

• Practical experience with AWS Services (AWS Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, Redshift, Glue, Athena, etc)
• Experience with Data Streaming (Kafka, Flink)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Experience with agile delivery practices
• Relevant Certifications.
