Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

We are recruiting for a Full Stack Software Developer who will be part of our Cambridge Mathematics Team.  The role will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the Cambridge Mathematics Framework (CMF) and related products, supporting innovative, research-driven curricula, resources, assessments, and professional learning solutions.

What will you do as a Full Stack Software Developer? 

In this role, you'll help maintain and create new functionalities for the Cambridge Mathematics Framework, building secure, scalable and user-friendly solutions. You'll be sharing your expertise across the team and working with a wide range of technologies, while collaborating with talented colleagues who share our values and goals.

Working under the supervision of the Technical and Visual Design Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex web services and applications.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring adherence to industry and organisational standards.
  • Collaborating with design leads to produce responsive, accessible interfaces aligned with WCAG standards and UX research.
  • Ensuring all web applications are robust and secure.
  • Assessing and recommending technologies and platforms to meet organisational needs.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

The Full Stack Software Developer should have strong skills in solution design, development, analysis, improvement, and documentation, demonstrated through hands-on experience with web infrastructure, and related software development technologies.

 
Essential:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Comfort with industry-standard tools like GIT and Agile development processes (e.g., Scrum).
  • Proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and familiarity with frameworks such as Node.js and Vue.js.
  • Experience using AWS services
  • Comfortable working as a sole developer within the team.
  • Able to communicate and translate technical concepts into clear, non technical language for non technical stakeholders
