Job Title: Head of Quality, Governance & Reporting

Salary: £66,400 - £88,900

Location: Cambridge/ Hybrid

Contract: Permanent

 

This role will be responsible for the effective governance and control of our services, and the quality management controls, procedures and reporting across Assessment Operations delivery activity, to achieve Assessment Operations objectives. It is critical to the successful development of our people and operational processes across Assessment Operations and will involve working with multi-disciplinary teams in adopting new ways of working to support the digital transformation of the Assessment Operations services.

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Quality, Governance & Reporting to lead a team ensuring consistent quality of operational processes and accurate reporting. This role will report to the Director of Strategic Governance and play a key role in governance responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective governance for service delivery, program planning, and development.
  • Manage quality framework and compliance across environments.
  • Oversee change management initiatives and ensure successful transitions.
  • Lead quality management strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Identify risks to change delivery and define mitigation responses.
  • Ensure business areas are prepared for new processes, including quality management and training updates.
  • Lead high-priority activities as directed by the Director of Strategic Governance.
  • Develop a Quality Management strategy with the Assessment Operations Senior Leadership Team, aligning it with Cambridge English and Cambridge Assessment strategies, translating it into operational excellence.
  • Act as key contact for quality and compliance matters, ensuring reporting is completed for changes.

 

About you

  • Degree-level education or relevant professional experience:
  • Understanding and application of Risk Management Principles & Frameworks.
  • Knowledge of quality management frameworks and ISO principles.
  • Auditing certifications and experience with DFE and Ofqual regulations.
  • Proven experience in quality management and reporting.
  • Ability to manage complex controls in a regulated environment.
  • Expertise in risk and issue management.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills.
  • Representing the organization in compliance negotiations.
  • High self-awareness, leadership, and negotiation skills.
