We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the stability, automation, and continuous improvement of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing server builds, deployments, automation, and performance monitoring, working closely with engineering teams to implement best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

What will you do as an Infrastructure Reliability Engineer?

 

As an Infrastructure Reliability Engineer you will work with teams whose systems and services are truly global. The role is pivotal to the success of technology services for the organization, and there are no limits to the opportunities afforded to work with new and exciting technologies and highly talented people.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee server builds, deployments, packaging, integration, automation, and software releases.  
  • Collaborate with Engineering leadership to evaluate monitoring, performance, and Infrastructure as Code standards.  
  • Develop processes, automate scripts for builds and deployments, and streamline pipelines.  
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, automation templates, and detailed technical design.  
  • Research new tools, build consensus, and introduce cost-effective technology improvements.  
  • Provide technical support to application engineers and promote DevOps principles.  
  • Optimize and enhance architecture for production support.  
  • Manage builds, machine configuration, test infrastructure, and VM deployment.  
  • Provide Level 2 support for the Production Environment.

 

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

 

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

  • Strong Linux administration (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Team player, works with minimal supervision
  • AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Redshift, Route53)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Proficient in Git and Git workflows
  • Container orchestration (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
  • Server-side technologies (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Redis)
  • Shell scripting (Bash) and one language (Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet)
  • CI/CD implementation in microservices architecture
  • Service discovery/mesh (Consul, Envoy)
  • Server monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Site24x7)
  • AWS certifications preferred; equivalent experience valued
