Are you passionate about education and looking to make a significant impact in the field? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Education Manager to join our team in East Asia. Expanding the business across South China, Hong Kong, and Macau, helping schools and educators prepare their learners ready for the world!

About the role  

As an International Education Manager, South China, Hong Kong and Macau, you will play a crucial role in expanding our business on the Teaching and Learning published resources for International Education. You will act as a trusted advisor, promoting our products and services to schools, institutions, education organizations, and other key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include generating leads, securing adoption deals, and supporting business planning and channel management. You will also work closely with Business Development (Qualification) team in the territory and contribute to the broader business development efforts in the East Asia region. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Implement regional strategy and business development plans for Education Resources in South China, Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. 
  • Conduct marketing and business development activities to generate new leads and maintain high retention rates, achieve the regional BD target. 
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers, including Cambridge schools and education groups. 
  • Maintain partnerships with book importers, distributors, and local publishers. 
  • Represent Cambridge at educational seminars, exhibitions, and conferences. 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of the education systems in the region and international education, as well as the working knowledge on education publishing. You will also bring: 

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese. Proficiency in Cantonese. Confident communication and presentation skills in these languages.  
  • Over 5 years of working experience, including at least 3 years in business development. Proven skills in business development and key account management within an educational context. 
  • A graduate qualification from a reputable university with a major in education, business, or other relevant subjects, or equivalent demonstrable experience. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to develop ongoing relationships with customers at a senior level as well as with other stakeholders.
