Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Pay range: We value transparency and want to ensure a good fit for both parties. We encourage applicants who are comfortable within the salary range of Php 37,000 to 50,000 to apply.

We are recruiting a Junior Data Engineer to join our Data & Integration team. As a key member of our team, you will support the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and high-quality data pipelines that enable analytics and operational systems across the organization.

What will you do as a Junior Data Engineer? 

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and high-quality data pipelines that enable analytics and operational systems across the organization. Working under guidance, the role helps ensure data is accurate, secure, and accessible across cloud platforms, databases, and ETL/ELT processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams and developing skills through continuous learning.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential

• University degree in Computer Science, Numeric or Technical subject, or other degrees combined with significant technical experience.
• Foundational understanding of backend or data development concepts (through coursework, projects, or internships), including working with relational or non-relational data.
• Ability to write and understand technical documentation, following agreed standards and best practices.
• A team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate and learn from others in a technical environment.
• Strong communication skills and an eagerness to share and explain ideas

Desirable

• Hands on experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality, analytics and reporting (visualization).
• Hands-on experience with SQL or noSQL databases.
• Basic knowledge or academic experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Basic knowledge or academic experience with Python, Java, Scala, Javascript or Node.js or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) or collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices (e.g., Scrum or Kanban), including iterative delivery, sprint cycles, and continuous improvement.
