We are looking for a Junior Integration Engineer to join our Data & Integration team. In this role, you will assist in the development and support of integration solutions that provides seamless data flows across systems. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with tools and methodologies while participating in a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Through team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities, you'll play an active role in building a strong technical foundation and enhancing our integration practices.

What will you do as a  Junior Integration Engineer?

 

 As a Junior Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of integration solutions while building foundational skills and gaining hands-on experience in creating seamless data flows across systems.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Technical Delivery

  • Assist in the development of data products, services, and platforms, with a focus on learning integration solutions.
  • Help maintain integration platforms and provide support for systems within and external to the Data & Integration team.
  • Contribute to the implementation of APIs and integration processes under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help monitor data integrity by supporting validation processes, ensuring data quality and smooth data flows across systems.

 

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior engineers and team members to learn and adopt best practices, methodologies, and tools that improve integration processes.
  • Participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing activities, contributing to continuous learning and improvement initiatives.

 

Communications and relationship building

  • Maintain clear communication with team members, providing updates on tasks and challenges.
  • Assist in gathering feedback from users and help incorporate improvements based on guidance from more experienced team members.

 

 

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

 

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

 

  • A degree in a numeric or technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of data engineering, integration, or software development.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases or data storage technologies.
  • Interest in learning and working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn in a team setting and a strong communication skills and a willingness to share ideas. 

     

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Understanding of APIs and system integration.
  • Exposure to data manipulation tools (e.g., DataWeave, JSON).
  • Programming experience in Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Interest in AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS).
