Are you looking for a career in the catering industry? We are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter for our busy site in Cambridge.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join a dynamic and customer-focused catering team, working to deliver excellent service to all Cambridge University Press & Assessment staff, guests and visitors.

About the role  

  

As a Kitchen Porter you will assist with the day to day running of the stores and logistics, ensuring that data related to the stores are accurate.  You will ensure the highest standards are maintained to continue to keep our customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining our extremely high Health & Safety standards. You will be responsible for maintaining the daily cleaning of the kitchen and stores

 

Additional duties include:

 

  • Assist Senior Kitchen Porter with receiving & storing deliveries.
  • Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Work with catering staff to set up servery and display counters.
  • Ensure all our areas and catering equipment are clean at all times.
  • Training on our cleaning procedures will be given, to maintain our high standards.

  

About You  
 
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a busy catering or hospitality environment, ideally some with some kitchen porter experience, however this is not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude whilst working in a pressured environment.
