We're looking for a Learning Content Editor to help create and develop high-quality educational resources for learners and teachers across Sub-Saharan Africa. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys shaping content, working with authors and subject experts, and seeing ideas develop into learning materials that make a genuine difference in the classroom 

As we continue to evolve how learning content is created and delivered, this role offers the opportunity to combine editorial expertise, learning development and digital publishing capability in a highly practical way. 

You'll work on a diverse range of learning resources, contributing to both new content and the improvement of existing materials while helping us build more efficient, scalable and digitally enabled approaches to educational publishing 

About the role   

You'll create, develop, edit and quality assure learning materials across digital, print, online course and teacher-support formats, ensuring content is educationally effective, accurate, accessible and aligned to Cambridge standards. 

Working closely with authors, reviewers, subject experts and colleagues across Product, Production, Platform and Design teams, you'll translate curriculum requirements and learning objectives into engaging educational resources that meet the needs of teachers and learners across the region. 

Alongside content development, you'll contribute to editorial planning, commissioning activities, localisation projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the quality and consistency of our learning materials. You'll also have the opportunity to work with modern digital publishing tools and AI-enabled workflows that support content development, review and adaptation. 

Additional responsibilities include: 

• Creating and developing educational content across multiple formats and channels. 

• Editing and quality assuring content to ensure clarity, accuracy and learning effectiveness. 

• Working with authors, reviewers and subject matter experts to develop high-quality resources. 

• Supporting content planning, commissioning activities and publishing schedules. 

• Contributing to localisation and curriculum adaptation projects. 

• Applying editorial, pedagogical and accessibility standards across assigned content. 

• Identifying and escalating content, rights, accessibility or quality risks where appropriate. 

• Capturing and sharing good practice that strengthens future content development.

About You   

You'll bring demonstrable experience creating, developing, editing and quality assuring educational content or learning materials. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with contributors and subject experts, using strong editorial judgement to create resources that support effective teaching and learning. 

You'll be confident managing your own workload, balancing quality with deadlines, and incorporating feedback to strengthen content and learning outcomes. 

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Demonstrable experience creating, developing, editing and quality assuring educational content or learning materials. 

• Experience working with authors, reviewers, subject matter experts or similar content contributors. 

• Strong editorial and content development skills. 

• Experience applying curriculum, learning or pedagogical principles within educational resources. 

• Experience managing content through review cycles and incorporating feedback effectively. 

• Strong written communication, planning and stakeholder coordination skills. 

• Confidence using digital content development tools and workflows.
