Job Purpose

Responsible for conducting market research by doing  systematic gathering, recording, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data related to products and services. Address various issues, and designs method for collecting information, managing and implementing the data collection processes, analysing the results, and communicating the findings and their implications.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the product teams by contributing data analysis and market insight.
  • Conducting various market studies through primary and secondary resources in publishing,
  • Carry out quantitative or qualitative research
  • Customized data collection and analysis for specific product lines
  • Research the education publishing industry using primary and secondary data to understand the trends and contribute to the product development teams to build both qualitative and quantitative information and insights
  • Preparing briefs and commissioning research
  • Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys and questionnaires
  • Contribute to develop newer research products, tools, etc. to improve the organisation's print and digital product portfolio
  • Consolidated the information into actionable items, reports & presentations
  • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis - Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
  • Remain fully informed on market trends and implement best practices

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 8 – 10 years of Market Research experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods like focus groups, surveys and polls etc.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Business awareness
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills
  • flexibility and drive
  • IT literacy
  • Experience in Education domain will be an added advantage
