Contract: Full time, permanent

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join the Schools sector marketing team and to lead on the implementation of marketing, in particular writing and creating engaging content, across an exciting portfolio of products in the Primary sector.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join the global Schools sector marketing team and to play an integral role in bringing our marketing strategies to life in the Primary sector.

You'll lead on the delivery of creative, integrated campaigns across our exciting Primary portfolio, thinking of new ways to meet our objectives and creating content that our target audiences can't ignore! You'll work across all marketing channels, utilising your range of skills and ideas. From promo videos, to websites, to social media and lots more, you'll have ample opportunity to show your enthusiasm, copywriting skills and attention to detail.

Our Primary learning and assessment portfolio is full of fun and personality, and you'll find plenty of humour in there too. You'll work collaboratively with marketing colleagues in Cambridge and around the world to deliver the best campaigns possible, to support the growth of this portfolio.

You'll make sure budgets are spent in the best way to deliver ROI, measure the success of your campaigns against KPIs and present your analysis to stakeholders, taking forward learnings to your next projects.

We have lots to do and ambitious goals to reach, so it's an exciting time to join the Schools marketing team and to bring your experience to the table. A genuine passion for education and creating positive experiences for teachers and learners will make this role more enjoyable and fulfilling.

About you

You will have a range of experience in planning and delivering successful, multi-channel marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of how best to utilise digital channels. You'll know how to tailor content to different audiences and write engaging, clear and effective copy across all platforms. Your proven project management experience and diligent approach to deadlines will ensure multiple projects are delivered on time, and your eye for detail will ensure quality is consistently high.

You'll be a self-starter and independent, but also a strong team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues across teams and countries. You'll use your understanding of customer needs and challenges to inform your campaigns, and your creativity to deliver results.

Your essential skills, knowledge and qualifications:

  • Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Attention to detail and eye for design
  • Experience briefing and delivering projects with external agencies
  • Proven experience leading and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience measuring and reporting on campaign success
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing
  • Insights-driven and results-oriented
  • Excellent communicator and confident presenter
  • A proactive team player who seeks solutions to challenges
  • Highly organised and motivated to manage competing deadlines, and experience of using project management tools
