Professional Development Support Officer

Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 4PM to 11PM Manila time, overlaps with UK operating hours

Employment type: Permanent

Pay range: Php 28,000 to 36,000

We are looking for a Professional Development Support Officer to provide day-to-day administrative support to the global Professional Development Delivery team to ensure effective delivery of an annual plan of 2000+ professional development courses.

What will you do as a Professional Development Support Officer? 

Reporting to the Professional Development Manager (Delivery), you will provide a range of administrative support to the global Professional Development Delivery team helping to ensure the effective delivery of an annual plan of 2000+ professional development courses. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Setting up, monitoring and managing courses in the booking system
  • Managing customer bookings, including providing first-line support to trainers and delegates
  • Processing trainer expenses, trainer payments and the raising and processing of purchase orders in a timely and organised manner
  • Supporting team members with ad hoc tasks for trainers such as commissioning, travel arrangements including visas and onboarding vendors
  • Updating and maintenance of the delivery SharePoint site to support team functions 
  • Assisting with marketing activities, including mailshots and updating web adverts
  • Providing basic reports and highlighting issues and areas for improvement.

An ideal candidate has the following qualities: 

Essential: 

  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • College level education or equivalent
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerBi, Lists, Word and Excel), databases and file management.

Desirable: 

  • Experience working in professional development, education, or training environments
  • Experience of using SAP and Zendesk
  • Familiarity with platforms and digital tools such as Teams, Zoom, Moodle, Miro
  • Knowledge of principles of project management 
  • Knowledge and understanding of education in an international context 
  • Experience driving process improvement or operational change initiatives.
