Location: California - Remote

Contract: Permanent/Full time (35 hours per week)

About the role 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will develop and execute sales strategies, manage key accounts, and collaborate with the regional team to meet and exceed sales targets. You will also work closely with internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies. You will have strong sales skills in developing new territories as well as expanding existing ones. Please note, you must be willing to travel up to 50%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead sales in assigned states in the Southeast US to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential customers.
  • Manage key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline from prospecting to finalization of contracts, including School Approval visits and contract amendments.
  • Manage relationships with state Departments of Education in assigned states, including but not limited to CA and AZ.
  • Maintain and update customer data in the CRM system regularly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Recognitions, Government Relations, K12 Support, and product development, to coordinate work across the assigned territory.
  • Monitor market trends and competition, providing insights and recommendations to company leadership.

 

About you

As our next School Development Manager, you will have a bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with previous experience in sales along with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue growth.

You should have previous experience in education or education technology sales, strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use data to inform decision-making. You should be able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, have strong organisational and project management skills.
