We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Security Incident Manager to join our esteemed Manila Group Security Team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. This role is vital in minimizing operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with security incidents by orchestrating swift and effective responses to contain and mitigate threats, ensuring business continuity. Enhance our overall security posture through continuous refinement of incident response processes, compliance assurance, and comprehensive team training and simulations, all contributing to a proactive and resilient security culture that supports the organisation's strategic goals.

What will you do as a Security Incident Manager?

 

As the Security Incident Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the incident response lifecycle, ensuring that security incidents are managed efficiently, mitigated promptly, and resolved to minimize potential impact on the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the response to security incidents, coordinating efforts among internal teams.
  • Evaluating the severity, scope, and impact of incidents to guide response actions and conducting root cause analyses.
  • Managing escalation protocols, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, and providing executive summaries and post-incident reports.
  • Conducting regular training, simulations, and tabletop exercises to enhance readiness.
  • Ensuring incident response aligns with legal and regulatory standards, and maintaining organized, audit-ready documentation

 

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

 

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

  • A relevant degree or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in a related operational discipline.
  • You are proficient in industry-standard security frameworks and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, CIS).
  • You possess strong incident management skills, analytical abilities, and experience in refining incident response processes.
  • Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you an ideal fit for this role.
