We are seeking a dedicated Security Operations Manager to join our esteemed Manila Group Security Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the team delivers high-quality service, maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations. You will be responsible for timely response and execution of the incident response process, even in the absence of the Head of Security Operations. Decisive action is required during critical or high-security incidents to ensure the highest standards of protection.

What will you do as a Security Operations Manager?

 

As the Security Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of the Security Operations Center (SOC). You will ensure efficient threat detection, prompt incident response, and seamless coordination among team members and across different business departments. Additionally, you will support strategic initiatives led by the Head of Security Operations and drive continuous operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing SOC activities and ensuring consistent incident monitoring and response.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex incidents.
  • Implementing SOC process auditing and continuous improvements.
  • Providing leadership and development for the Security Operation Leads.
  • Collaborating with other departments on security protocols.
  • Developing and tracking key SOC performance metrics.

 

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

 

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

  • A relevant degree or 7+ years of experience in Security operations.
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard security frameworks and best practices.
  • Expertise in SIEM systems, IDPS, EDR, and automation tools.
  • Knowledge in networking, cloud security, and IT systems.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISA, CISSP).
  • Experience leading SOC teams or managing security operations.
  • Strong Skills in coordinating SOC personnel and responding to incidents.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
