Senior Data Analyst

Work setup: We operate in a hybrid work environment, and we encourage applicants who are open to working in the office two days a week to apply.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 3PM to 11PM Manila time, overlaps with UK operating hours

Employment type: Permanent

Location: Makati City, Metro Manila

Pay range: Php 56,000 to 77,000

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to design, build and improve trusted reporting and data-management solutions for curriculum-focused Professional Development activity and results data.

What will you do as a Senior Data Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Data Engineer in Education Technology, and partnering with Professional Development, GPAO Data & Analytics, Finance and wider technical colleagues, you will turn data from multiple sources into reliable insight, clear reporting and practical operational support. Your accountabilities will include:

  • The design, build, maintenance and improvement of Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models and Excel or Power Query reporting solutions.
  • Preparation, cleansing, modelling and reconciliation of data from multiple sources using SQL, Power Query and agreed data-handling methods.
  • Application of data standards, definitions, documentation and quality controls such that reporting outputs are accurate, traceable and fit for use.
  • Supporting SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps and Microsoft 365-based data-management processes where they improve reporting reliability.
  • Helping stakeholders interpret data, understand trends and use reporting outputs with confidence.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

 
Essential:

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting or analytics delivery, including building reporting solutions from raw or partially structured data.
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Excel modelling, SQL and structured reporting design.
  • Ability to prepare, clean, model, reconcile and verify data from multiple sources with close attention to quality and traceability.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into practical insight for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-directed approach to managing recurring reporting, ad-hoc analysis, stakeholder support and continuous improvement activity.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Python or other advanced data-analysis tools for manipulation, visualisation or reproducible analysis.
  • Knowledge of predictive analysis, forecasting, impact measurement, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric or Copilot in Power BI.
  • Experience in education, assessment or Professional Development environments.
