We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, specifically someone with knowledge and experience in Cloudflare Zero Trust Network Access or similar platforms. In this pivotal role, you will significantly contribute to the successful delivery and management of Cloudflare services, particularly those related to Zero Trust and other offerings. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the effective execution and oversight of projects while utilizing Cloudflare's capabilities to enhance security and performance across our infrastructure.

What will you do as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer?

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing support, partnering closely with service delivery manager, engineers from Cloudflare, from within core technology, and from business platforms. Your expertise and insights will drive initiatives to uphold best practice designs and solutions for Cloudflare within our organization. With an emphasis on enhancing security and technology, you will actively engage in researching new Cloudflare services and advising on best practices to ensure optimal service delivery for the organization.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide level 3 technical escalation support for colleagues within the team and the wider Technology organisation.
  • Participating in incident response and change management processes, including identifying root causes, implementing solutions, and documenting changes to issues escalated and/or concerns related to current projects handled.

 

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

 

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting the following fields:
    • Design, implement, and manage Zero Trust product portfolio and technologies.
    • Experience with network-related software and underlying Internet technologies between L4 and L7 (TCP/UDP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, proxies, etc.).
    • DNS over HTTPS (DoH), DNS over TLS (DoT), and related DNS protocols.
    • Configure Cloudflare applications and user policies on WARP VPN
    • Implement Cloudflare Web Application Firewall policies 
    • Translate application diagrams and information into VPN policies
    • Creation of Secure web gateway policies
  • Strong analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills, ability to apply critical thinking and a sense of urgency for troubleshooting related issues and/or incidents in accordance with published standards and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills (English) with both technical and non-technical colleagues from geographically distributed teams on all organizational levels.
  • Experience leading and delivering projects.
