JOB PURPOSE

  • Review of accounting in terms of Revenue and expense and Balance sheet items.
  • Application of IGAAP & GAAS & Tax compliance on all financial statement line items
  • Making sure of compliance of Internal controls (Internal Financial controls) at each business level process and complying with risk control matrix
  • Execution of month end closing time-table and to close books every month & ensuring completeness & accuracy.
  • Role responsible for ensuring compliance with Statutory dues compliance.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Ensuring monthly closure of books of accounts as per timetable and ensuring completeness & accuracy.
  • Correct & Timely booking of Month end provisions, expenses & all compliance of statutory dues.
  • Compliance of Internal Controls & SOP
  • Ensure completion and review of all balance sheet and Profit & loss schedules.
  • Application of accounting as per IGAAP & IGAAS on all financial statement line items.
  • Preparing of Financials as per IGAAP

To carry out any other duties which may be reasonably expected of you by your immediate manager or a senior director.

To abide by all Press policies and procedures, as detailed in your contract of employment and the Staff Handbook, e.g. Code of ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, Health and Safety, e-mail and Internet use and standards of behaviour.

 

CONTEXT

 

(a) Operating Environment:

Day to day activity management with human resource, IT & ADP team and keeping a track of all activities and maintaining timely closure.

 

(b) Framework & Boundaries:

Month end closing activities in relation to payroll and fixed assets, TAT management, Abide by the Finance, HR & ABC policies.

 

RELATIONSHIP

 

Frequent communication with Business partners and Function heads.

 

Maintaining a regular and close contact with employees for month end provision and providing output related to budget vs actual.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Must have a minimum of 5-8+ years of experience of handling accounts and finance.
  • CA with 5-8 years of experience.
  • Should have knowledge of SAP/Oracle/Tally (ERP)
  • Should have extensive of IGAAP.
  • Ability in problem solving.
  • Good in MS office and excel
  • SAP knowledge would be an added advantage
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization will be an advantage.
  • Commerce graduate.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
