We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation, and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

Job Purpose

  • Revenue generation and cost of sales for the ELT vertical in the assigned territory
  • Managing and retaining university / HEI accounts and drive sales revenue.
  • Developing the assigned market with Public and Private Universities and Higher Education Institutions.
  • Meeting desired GM1 by controlling & monitoring discounts.
  • Creation and Tracking of Sales and Collections: Budget & Achievement (variance if any to be tracked)
  • Execution of Sales Plan in alignment with the CUP&A India and Vertical's (Including promotions and reach agenda) in alignment with the CUP&A India
  • Support sales function effectively and ensuring sales capability building for the vertical in India.

Dimensions

Financial: To achieve defined target as per the annual budgets without team for all the domestic/Special Projects

Staff: No direct reportee

Principal Accountabilities

  • Market Outreach & penetration
  • Distribution management for specific accounts
  • Workshop on time-to-time basis having maximum number of participants.
  • Handle local compliance.
  • Branding & Promotion
  • Salesforce log in regularly and also to ensure that daily all activities are captured in Salesforce
  • Share weekly & monthly reports - Internal and external market changes and scenario.

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

 

  • Master's degree in sales / business management or related field is preferred.
  • 6 - 12 years of experience with sound knowledge of Higher education sector
  • Should have sales management experience in higher education business.
  • Experience in managing annual sales budgets and collections of 2 crores or more will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of fuelling business growth.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization will be an advantage.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Sound knowledge / experience on managing large size distributors.
  • Planning, strategic initiatives and strong execution skills.
  • Creative initiatives & multitasking capabilities in overseeing multiple threads of success, will be a key success factor.

  • Team / Stakeholder management & interpersonal skills to inspire collaboration and to empower the Matrix team.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across the end-to-end value chain.
  • Strategic thinker who can envisage new solutions, address work challenges, and resolve conflicts.
  • Sound Business Acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to convey strategy, knowledge, and requirements.
  • Positive Thinker, Organized and able to work to timelines and roadmaps.
