We are looking for a Vendor Master Specilaist to join our Global Finance Operations team. This role will set up, maintain, correct and accurately record SAP vendor master data. With additional responsibility for the Manila environment and process rules.

What will you do as a Vendor Master Data Intern?

 

Vendor Master Data Intern supports the Vendor Master Data (VMD) team in managing and maintaining accurate supplier information within a company's ERP system, SAP.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learn and assist the Vendor Data team in creating and maintaining vendor records in SAP by following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Support updates to selected vendor accounts, helping ensure information remains accurate and properly validated.
  • Gain exposure to vendor data requests using tools such as OneTrust, Ironclad, and vendor creation forms, while learning about vendor master data policies and service standards.
  • Handle basic queries from the business related to vendor data, with guidance from senior team members for more complex issues.
  • Contribute to documentation by recording steps taken during simple investigations or updating workflow notes for future reference.
  • Assist with daily operations of the Vendor Data team, including administrative tasks and reporting observations to the Vendor Master Data Team Lead.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams, including UK-based partners and other data management groups, to gain experience in cross-team coordination.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and stay informed about updates to business processes or compliance requirements relevant to vendor data.
  • Observe and suggest improvements to vendor setup procedures, offering ideas that may help streamline or enhance efficiency.

  • Basic time-management skills, with the ability to organize tasks, follow instructions, and work toward deadlines with guidance.
  • No prior Vendor Master Data or SAP experience required, but interest in learning SAP ERP, data management systems, and vendor-related processes is highly valued.
  • Curiosity and a process-improvement mindset, with enthusiasm for learning how workflows can be optimized or simplified.
  • Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by coursework or school projects.
  • Basic data entry and data analysis abilities, with eagerness to learn reporting tools and improve accuracy over time.

 

Essential Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of vendor-related processes or a willingness to learn how vendor master data is maintained.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP, Power BI, Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, List) or similar platforms are an advantage.
  • Awareness of policies and regulatory concepts such as data privacy, compliance, or basic risk awareness or an interest in developing this knowledge
  • Interest in Data Governance topics, including data quality, accuracy, and proper handling of master data.
  • Basic knowledge of financial concepts such as tax information, banking details, payment processes or coursework related to these areas.
