Salary: £28,800 - £37,425 per annum

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (at least 2 days per week in the office)

Contract: Fixed Term (6 months) | Full Time

Strat date: February 2025 or as soon as available

Do you have a passion for event organisation and a knack for getting things done? Are you a team player with a keen eye for detail? If so, our Academic division wants to hear from you.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, collaborative and detail orientated individual to join our Events Team on a fixed-term contract for 6 months. We're currently undertaking a large database project within Marketing, and to ensure our events continue to run smoothly, our Events Team needs some additional support.

As an Events Executive you will:

  • Support the department with various aspects of exhibit organization for our global conferences, including researching and booking exhibit booths and sponsorships, coordinating stand design and logistics, and overseeing the creation of marketing materials, emails and social campaigns to support our exhibit objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, Editorial, Customer Services, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Gain valuable experience managing a portfolio of exhibits, providing an opportunity to develop your skills and take ownership of projects.
  • Contribute to key projects such as the Frankfurt and London Book Fairs and assist with UAT for our new marketing and exhibits database.
  • Work closely with a small, friendly team within a large global organization.

About you

This role is perfect for someone who has:

  • Some experience in event organization or equivalent project management or marketing experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a talent for juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to tackle challenges
  • Experience and enjoyment of working in a customer centric role or environment

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Group personal pension scheme
  • Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
  • Green travel schemes

We are a hybrid working organisation, and we offer a range of flexible working options from day one. We expect most hybrid-working colleagues to spend 40-60% of their time at their dedicated office or location. We will also consider other work arrangements if you wish to work more flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
