Job Title: Head of Thought Leadership & PR

Salary: £57,100 - £76,450

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office)

Contract: Permanent, Full time 35 hours per week

 

As the Head of Thought Leadership & PR, you will play a pivotal role in driving our brand awareness, enhancing our reputation, and solidifying our position as an authority in the education sector. This senior role requires a visionary who can strategically lead public relations efforts, deliver impactful thought leadership content and manage reputational risks. You will be instrumental in positioning Cambridge English as a global leader in learning, teaching, and assessment.

About the role

  •  Leads and executes an integrated PR and Thought Leadership strategy for Cambridge English, to enhance brand visibility and establish Cambridge English as a trusted authority in the field.
  • Shape, identify and distil key media messages from research and complex content to position Cambridge English as a thought leader 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key international media outlets, securing high-quality coverage through press releases and innovative thought leadership content marketing.
  • Oversee reputational risk management, developing proactive strategies to safeguard and strengthen our organisation's image.
  • Implement and maintain a robust framework of metrics to measure and evaluate the impact of PR and Thought Leadership activities, ensuring ongoing improvement.
  • Manage external PR agencies, Freelancers and Content Creators, alongside a small internal team.

 

About you

We're looking for an experienced PR and communications professional with a proven track record of success in thought leadership and media relations at an international level.

The ideal person candidate will have:

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in reputation risk management and crisis communication planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across a global organisation.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with good attention to detail.
