Job Title: Senior Marketing Executive

Salary: £34,500 - £44,850 per annum

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid

Contract: Permanent/Full Time (35 hours per week)

About the role 

As a Senior Marketing Executive, you'll oversee the planning, delivery and reporting on part of our prestigious Journals list. You'll be working with dedicated, supportive and friendly colleagues across many teams to create and deliver high-impact global marketing plans while providing an outstanding publishing service to our readers, authors and publishing partners.

This varied and busy role provides an experienced marketer the freedom to develop the role/list management with their own flair and skills.

Some key accountabilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Planning and executing marketing campaigns to ensure products reach their target markets and sales targets are met. To include: email marketing, blog posts, social media, content marketing, brand marketing, advertising, print marketing and management (virtual and in-person) of stands at key conferences and society events.
  • Working in partnership with key internal and external business stakeholders on product and brand development and publishing strategies.
  • Evaluating and reporting on marketing campaigns through the targeted use of campaign analytics and metrics, combined with customer sales and usage data.
  • Embrace change and work independently, to set deadlines and will also involve working closely other teams including editorial and marketing services colleagues.
  • Autonomous forward planning and budget management to ensure spend is allocated to strategically important subject areas and products.

 

About you

As our next Senior Marketing Executive, you will have a strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies along with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills with proven commercial awareness.

In addition, to be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have proficiency in marketing software and tools.
  • demonstrate the ability and confidence to stand in for the Marketing Manager/Senior Marketing Manager as and when required, representing the department to senior stakeholders.
  • act as a mentor for new starters across the department along with supporting and empowering other members in the team as and when required.
